Utah - Red Canyon - Bryce Canyon National Park - Coal Creek, investigating the strange phenomenon.

Red Canyon

We on the way to Bryce Canyon National Park, cruising the Scenic Byway and we were stopped dead in our tracks passing through Red Canyon.
The red sandstone was amazing.
This area has been called the "most photographed place in Utah" for good reason.

Bryce Canyon National Park

At Zion National Park you spend most of your time looking up. Bryce you'll spend most of your time looking out and down. Bryce can be overwhelming, it touches you.
I can't believe it took this long to see it.
We took so many pictures but what you'll see here is the name of the vista
and a few pictures of each one.
Enjoy the hoodoos.

Kathy just handed me my Dad & Mom's "Passport to Your National Parks" Book.
A lot of it is filled out.
It looks like they were here June 29 '95

Coal Creek
On the way back from Bryce we decided to take the long way home. Watching out for deer and checking out the stream on the side of the road was interesting. All of a sudden the stream disappeared then reappear.

We decided to double back and investigate the strange phenomenon. We determined after reviewing the photographs that we took some folks with jack hammers and drills and tools of mass destruction created a hole through the rocks to keep the stream from undermining the road.

Thank you...

Utah has kept us very busy.
From here we head to Page, Arizona
