Riding the storm out - On the road from Leeds, Utah to Page, Arizona

We were having a pretty good drive, it was little overcast and Kathy's started taking pictures of the Mesa's and rock formations.

We had a little rain and the clouds kept getting darker and darker.

I had to turn on the Drizzle flippers as we got closer to Glen Canyon Dam.

More and more rain came down, accompanied by lightning and of course thunder.

As we drove we saw a tree top burning, obviously from a lightning strike!
That's what that little red / orange blip is in the picture

Folks started slowing down and there were no turn outs. Just had to ride it out.
A really soft shoulder would be bad news.

We started watching for flash floods.

We could see water coming down from the rock formations.

Just around the bin traffic got a little backed up because of the small mudslide as we approach the Dam bridge.

Folks were running back and forth and along with street so they can get a picture of the waterfalls from the Dam bridge.

Soon after we arrived at the campsite it started clearing up.
