Utah - Kolob Canyons & Road - Silver Reef - Grafton - Smithsonian Butte Road

Kolob Canyons.
This is a short five mile but amazing 5 mile drive up the canyon.

So much color.

This Canyon is part of the Colorado Colorado Plateau region of the Zion Park.

Kolob Road.

The drive is easy trail with beautiful Ponderosa Pines, aspens and views of the great basin.

It will take you right through Zion's National Parks westside.

We saw this little guy, we don't know what it is. Anybody?

Coming back though Zion, we saw these guys working on the road. Is this how you park one these?

Silver Reef Utah.

We got to check out this historic ghost town, silver mine, Wells Fargo Express building,

Mormon settlement

and old graveyards.

Can you say segregation!

Silver Reef's claim to fame is it's the only place in United States that silver was discovered in sandstone.

City of Grafton

It starts with a beautiful bridge.

We're able to check out old cemeteries

 old settlements.

We were able to enjoy a little off roading in this area.

The Smithsonian Butte Road

The road is a national back country byaway.

It almost seems like we went straight up this hill.

Lots of fantastic views and mesas.

Beautiful off road trail spotted some campers on the way.
